I see here that most people dont use godaddy hosting why is that?

I personally NEVER had a problem with them. I think it comes down to what you are going to use your hosting for.

People think very bad about godaddy hosting. They sucks, Never buy hosting from them.

Because it's crap. In fact it's not just their hosting, everything about Godaddy is crap.

I used to host a few sites with them but I had some very bad experiences (many downtimes). Also their support sucks. I don't even recommend them as a domain registrar, they don't play fair.

There ought to be laws against Godaddy Hosting, Godaddy upsells and the insane number of emails you get from them whenever you have a domain that is expiring with them.

Other than that, they are OK.

When I first started out online I was using yola, now I use godaddy but its mainly for redirect urls, yes I know they aren't worth a crap but I usually buy the domain with privacy and use a coupon code which means I buy them super cheap but I only renew the domain if its profitable otherwise I just toss it. After 1 year if you're not making money with a domain its probably not worth paying for renwal.

It is simple! There are many other hosting services and name registrars which provide better service than godaddy! Godaddy is for the people who want to start a website after seeing godaddy adds in the televisions

Host a few sites there that get maybe 10 visitors a day total, and get emails towards end of the month about running out or resources. Also, they call every day to up sell on hosting, domains, growing your business...basically anything they can try to sell you. Finally told them to take me of the call list and so far that has worked.

I am working for company that develops WP themes and plugin and I've also looked into support requests, most server issues came from GoDaddy hosting.

I can't even explain how bad they are and they send mails for everything, if you have a website with 0 visitors it's perfect. Not for more.

Personally I don't like Godaddy. If you search on Godaddy forum, you will find a huge number of people are complaining about their service.

their 99 cent coupons can be nicely utilised with fake whois details for pbn building purposes I guess

Their customer service is terrible, I would never ever go with godaddy.com

Have you looked at Amazon cloud hosting? Its free for a year if you don't need a huge server. Scales really well. You only pay for what you use.

For the (low) quality of their services, they're not worth it. One of my clients has her small local business website (shared hosting), domain, and e-mails hosted on GoDaddy and they upsold her on an e-mail package for "unlimited e-mails" even though her business only requires 3 separate e-mails. In addition to that, her website takes a few seconds to load despite not having much traffic (only about 60 UV a day because we just started working on the website).

There are much better hosts to choose from, so look around and find one that suits your needs.

I have (had) a hosting with them and I can tell you that took me about 1 minute to log in my Cpanel and to upload a 2mb file like 3 or 4 minutes. Customer support is bad, not being able to open tickets or send a simple email doesn't make sense to be honest.
