A friend of mine has just emailed me asking how much he could flip his website for:

http://aimricher.com

He told me that the domain has been registered 2009/09 and that this site has generated exactly $144.35 from April, 1st until April the 30th.

Anyways. which 'quick tweaks' could be implemented to improve the value of his website?
He intends to list it next Thursday for either 1 or 3 days...not quite sure yet (also, what do
you think should be the auction's length??)

I'd appreciate it really very much if you guys could help me giving him a qualified answer.

Thanks.:)

Anyone?

BTW: He is getting ca. 10~15 visitors/ day, tendency upwards.

My completely un-scientific due diligence calls bullshit on this one.

$144 from 10 visitors a day? That's an eCPM of about $450 :O

Traffic and Alexa rank seem about right, but income, I'd be surprised if it made $1.44...

Note that the claimed earnings are 100% due to CPA convertions and NOT due to Adsense dor anything else.

He's just sent me some screenshots as proof for his allegations.

Those screenshots don't add up. I know awstats isn't 100% accurate but April had 65 UV's yet 2145 clicks on CPA - definitely something wrong there.

Traffic is partially coming from Craigslist, since he is posting his ads for people looking for jobs there....
Further, he has been sending the traffic to urls built like "mygiftforyou.aimricher.com"... the traffic on this subdomain seems not to have been considered by AwStats though...

Anyways, my primary question still remains: what is this website worth and how could one quickly improve it's value?

For a start, without transparent stats it really isn't worth much. Anyone with basic due diligence will work out there are some issues with the screenshots and act with caution.

With the traffic stats (minus the income which doesn't count as it requires CL posting) he'd possibly get 200 bucks for the site with good copy.

How surreal.

This is almost identical to what I was about to post, but Meathead has said it perfectly.

Without the traffic stats stacking up I'd say $200 - $250 as any buyer is taking a gamble on the revenue.
