I have been given access to the analytics for a community college analytics, and a publicly traded companies analytics. So what now? Are there going to be some golden nuggets that I can use? What ideas can yall come up with ?
Jokes apart, basically you use the data to analyze the visitor trending in your site. Analyze their demographics, loyalty, browser information, bounce rate, trending etc. You set goals and check if your site achieves the goal. If not, it needs to be worked on more and more. That's just the basic. You can do much more advanced stuffs than that...
"publicly traded companies analytics"? well... to point out the obvious... you can find out whether metrics (e.g., goal/conversion volume) in the analytics data correlates to the company's the earnings.. if there is strong correlation there, being able to predict the earnings reports (and hence, stock) should certainly be worth something
