What can I do with an email list?

Lets say I have the ability to scrape emails from a Twitter followers list from an account within my industry...what could I do with that email list??

I am working for a company at the moment so we don't want to do mass follow requests or anything spammy but Im wondering if I could use the emails to target ads at specific people or something along those lines.

*Also semi-new at social media so forgive me if this is a dumb question.*
