What can I do except backlink?

Apart from backlinks, you can focus on improving your website's performance by improving on-page performance, content quality, website loading speed, mobile friendliness, social media presence, and local SEO if would like to improve the local search.

You can improve the core web vitals, check the loading speed, reduce the load on server and work on customer experience, create a frictionless experience for the traffic to come to your website that elevates their overall experience.

Backlinks are crucial for SEO, but on-page SEO is equally important. Focus on optimizing your keywords, meta tags, and headers, and make sure your page speed is fast for both mobile and desktop to improve rankings. User experience (UX) matters too, keep the design clean, mobile friendly, and easy to navigate. Internal links with keyword rich anchor text can also boost. Don’t forget to keep your Google My Business profile updated, as this can positively impact your site’s ranking.

Apart from backlinks, you should focus on on-page SEO, including optimizing content, pages, and keywords, internal linking, image optimization, site speed, and social media optimization etc.

I'm trying to get the branding homepage up on page 1. What else can I do now to get the rankings up other than backlink?
guest post and apart from the links get your onsite as best as can and work over content so far

Backlinks are an important part but also depends on your niche. but Besides backlinking, you can focus on building relevant content on your social media page.

1. Build a Social Media Calendar - Create a monthly social media calendar that aligns with your brand goals. Plan posts for each day, depending on the content type (Informative, Entertaining, Promotional), etc.
2, Quality Over Quantity - The Content has to be valuable that the viewers will like.
3. Use StoryTelling - Use storytelling to make content relatable and memorable.
4. Attractive Design - The Visual has to be the "feel good" to the eyes of the viewers.
5. Optimize SEO - Use relevant keywords, and profiles optimized in the bio and about section. Include hashtags in your post for better reach.
6. Track your performance - Analyze how well your posts are doing which could be impressions, likes, shares, and comments. Do the A/B Testing. If your content strategy for this month didn't do well then change that strategy.

These are some of the steps that I follow based on my experience in building social media content. If any doubts or queries, then feel free to comment.

You can consider these tips:
  1. On-Page SEO: Optimize your content with relevant keywords, ensure high-quality writing, and improve user experience through clear navigation.
  2. Engaging Content: Use various media types (images, videos) to keep visitors interested and encourage longer dwell times.
  3. Internal Linking: Create a strong internal linking structure to guide users and distribute page authority.
  4. Local Citations: List your business on local directories like Google My Business to boost local visibility.

Apart from backlinks you can focus on ON-page SEO, creating a quality content, attract the reader with customer review and improve your click-through rate.

Well you have heard it quite a few times...on-page SEO...and if you can do it yourself..do it. Alot of folks are just scammers. I remember hiring someone years ago to do onpage SEO and they did complete crap and I didn't know enough then to recognize that they did complete crap. The good thing now is you can use chatgpt or other tools easily to help you with onpage seo

In addition to backlinks, focus on optimizing on-page SEO, improving site speed, enhancing user experience, creating high-quality, engaging content, ensuring mobile-friendliness, and leveraging schema markup to boost your branding homepage rankings.

Ensure your on-page SEO is good, your content is valuable, and your site is fast and easy to use. Promote it through social media, branded searches, and ads while ensuring it meets users' needs.

Branding? And no links?

You'll need to influence the search volume and have content for the below. Ideally you need to make it an entity, so things like the search terms below will automatically focus on your brand page

BRAND NAME + timings
BRAND NAME + hour of operation
Brand Name + Reviews
brand name + number
brand name + location
brand name + returns
brand name + scam
brand name + trustworthy
brand name + business hours

To influence the search volume you can do CTR manipulation with those search terms

Also make sure your GMB profile (if you have it) has reviews with items containing the brand name, have mentions (hey no links) on popular sites in your niche (so obviously reddit, quora etc + whatever niche forum sites).

Try checking Technical SEO. If this would fit your approach it may help search engines crawl and index your site more efficiently.

To improve your branding homepage ranking besides building backlinks, focus on optimizing your content for target keywords. Ensure the page is fast, mobile-friendly, and user-focused. Update the meta title and description to make them more engaging, and use internal links to guide visitors to important sections. Also, work on improving user engagement metrics like time on page and reducing bounce rates by adding high-quality, useful content.

Focus on optimizing on-page SEO, improving page speed, enhancing user experience, targeting long-tail keywords, and regularly updating content to boost rankings.

I'd say... if you want to rank your homepage for your brand then you should use social media more.
OK, links help but mainly for articles... for branding I prefer social media and niche related listings.
