What are your favorite backlink types in 2020?

And are there good and free ways to create effective backlinks "manually"?

Any backlink that can get me to rank is my favorite backlink type and they come in different colors and flavors.
 
If I had to pick one, niche edits. Simply put.

Old posts with a lot of juice and relevancy combined with webmasters that don't really know the value of said links makes for some great deals in loads of niches. Look really natural, too - in my opinion.

Unless Google starts running the posts through WaybackMachine or checking it against their own cache, then I'd be screwed :D
 
Premium guest post, homepage PBN, niche edits
 
Guest blogging backlinks, PBNs, Social Share, and Web 2.0.
 
PBNs and guest posts are trending a lot these days. Seeing a lot being scammed with guest posts in 2020 as well.
