Yes. In general navigation of the WordPress CMS and the "time to first byte" by server.

Never used a VPS. So, don't know how fast that is as compared to the cloud hosting.

I have tested/used over 40 different hosting companies for shared hosting over the years (I would say I have seen everything under the sun, but I know I am not at the end of my surprises).

With shared hosting the main benefit is price. Say you could pay for example $100/year with 10 sites = $10/year per site, not bad (just an example).

But of course as this is cheaper, you may face more issues with speed, hacking, downtime, etc.

So it is a trade-off depending on your needs, it can be used for PBN hosting, testing sites, etc. Profitable money sites should not use that.

For me Uptime and Speed, Support and Price are very important factors when choosing a right web host. Would also prefer a cpanel host.

I think if you are looking to learn someone experiences with web hosting providers you can check review sites like trustpilot or hostadvice. I think that there you will find lots of relevant reviews of the companies you have been looking for.

Shared hosting option is created for smaller websites which includes new bloggers, small businesses, etc. If every site used their quota, then shared hosting would not work. But since only very few do, it works out very nicely for everyone.

My experience with shared hosting was all good until my preferred hosting got acquired by Hostwinds. After that, I had to find some other shared hosting providers and it was a tough job considering the number of fake reviews the providers have. Guess what, Hostwinds has positive reviews everywhere except BHW.
