Doesn't matter what hardware you buy... just install a main OS that you use the most and install all the other ones you like to play with in VMs.

PS. Mac is a Personal Computer....

Guys, let's not make this another Apple vs. PC thread.

This thread was put up so we can have a clear number of how many SEO people uses PC and Mac.

So if a lot of people uses Mac, then it's obvious that you can use Mac effectively for SEO purposes.

Although right now, it's obvious that more people uses PC for SEO.

The poll is irrelevant. The question is what's best for your needs.

I'd advise thinking about the learning curve. Macs are different. You'll be starting at "0" if you go that way, and once you are there you'll be locked into the whole Mac thing.

You never hear Mac owners complaing about how they hate their Mac, though. I've never heard of one owner dissatisfied with anything other than cost and software availablity.

PC is way in front. But we can see that Mac indeed has a place in SEO. I expected at least 90% of SEO folks use the PC.

A mac is a PC, it uses the same components, and is built in the same Foxconn factory as every other PC. It just ships with a closed source, less stable version of BSD as its OS.

I use MS on my mac as it runs alot faster and tends not to crash, when using MS on pc it can sometimes take 3/4 times slower using keyword research etc. and freezes sometimes also..

PC cause i dont buy MAC francise, i have this kind of believe:

MAC and PC can be compared into books, MAC is pretty covered childrens book whit glitter and sparks, nice finishing... insides of the book is low in expectations.
PC in the otherhand is rought surfaced monster, but insides of it are out of this world.

The most important piece in a laptop is the screen. If you're into business you need a good antiglare screen ( preferably matte screen). Next is the viewing angles of the screen, they have to be consistent and not go dark or completely white with a 5-10 degree vertical head movement.

I currently own a X220 with an IPS ( "HD Premium") Screen. It's prefect for business applications.
