So like the title says...
What are the must have wordpress plugins that I should add to my site?
What plugins do you add to your sites?

There are 2 plugins that i have on most of my sites: a sitemap with xml and jetpack site stats (to cut the addiction to GA)

I use wordpress seo plugin and wordpress navigation plugin in each of the wordpress websites i create. The first one allows me to add meta titles, keywords and description to the pages and posts. While the second one helps in creating a good paging navigation in the wordpress posts, categories and archives.
Note - wordpress does not provide these above features by its own.
 
What kind of site is it?

Different sites require different plugins.

Contact form 7
Social Sharing plugin (monarch or shareholic ...)
TinyMCE advance or Ultimate
Wp supper cache

You should have wordfence and sucuri scanner plugins, everything else is optional.
 
Can someone please suggest for backup and restore complete wordpress files and database please

Im building micro niche sites that will turn into niche sites and possibly authority sites
Im doing affiliate marketing promoting clickbank products and other affiliate programs

Backup buddy, but it's paid.

@White Night: TinyMCE discontinued, the new one is "WP EDIT" from the same developer.
 
Wordpress SEO is a must.
wordfence is a must when your website is making decent profit.
Contact form is very important.


is WP Super Cache really that useful?

above list are my OP, it works fine depends on the niche
 
Only install necessary plugins, so many plugins may affect performance of your website. Here's my suggestion.
Reduce Bounce Rate

Keep your plugins to a minimum... I run 3 total on a site that gets 2M hits a month.
