I use wordpress seo plugin and wordpress navigation plugin in each of the wordpress websites i create. The first one allows me to add meta titles, keywords and description to the pages and posts. While the second one helps in creating a good paging navigation in the wordpress posts, categories and archives.
Note - wordpress does not provide these above features by its own.

Backup buddy, but it's paid.

@White Night: TinyMCE discontinued, the new one is "WP EDIT" from the same developer.

Wordpress SEO is a must.
wordfence is a must when your website is making decent profit.
Contact form is very important.
