What are the most important SEO metrics?

Make sure you check out the spam score to ensure it is low.

IMO, the ratio of TF and CF is important and the quantity of the referring domains.

1) Check backlinks.
2) Check webarchive history.
3) Check differencies between DA, TF/CF, Alexa, MOZ (high DA and low TF seems unnatural).

Btw, I know this is "old school stuff" but does DMOZ still have some value?

Yes, DMOZ still is awesome to get, but having it alone is not a "metric" to judge a domain by.

The ratio of TF/CF is important, with metrics you ALWAYS have to watch out for faked results. Which is why you HAVE TO also take a look at the links and the history. There is no short cut. Its a total evaluation or else you're buying blind.

So to recap this is what I gathered from the post above:

In order of importance:
1. Backlinks
2. Spam score
3. History (chinese text or redirecting)
4. TF
5. TF to CF ratio
6. Referring domains
7. Age
8. PA/DA
100. Page rank ;)

Is this right?

I added history because I think that is important too. What was the site before it expired.

Also, Spam score, make sure it is less then 3, most important think for SEO TF/CF.

is anyone using the TF/CF ratio thing or is this over hyped ? of course if CT is a lot bigger than TF that's one thing for a tight ratio just wondering if this is resulting in me leaving a lot of good domains on the table

TF/CF should be considered as well. You should always have an eye for the backlinks.

Im using ahrefs, so i think really important is UR rating from ahrefs.

PR is dude already so dont think about that, the main metric is now TF/CF and DA which are very important.

Important facts:
#Keywords
#Backlinks quality
#Page loading speed
TF/CF are also important metrics check it.
