What are the best/needed Magisk modules for automating Instagram?

You may try using Shamiko. It has a function that could help you run automation apps without detection or functionality issues.
Oh this is interesting. I do have Shamiko installed. Does it just already do all the blocking nowadays for me?

Thanks for the advice, I was able to get it running by just installing the main release of Lua actually lol. I was going off of other forums of people saying it no longer worked and tried using modded versions but it seems to have worked for me. Is there a good way to check if it is actually working? Also, it seems like many of these modules are getting discontinued with not a whole lot of a community behind them. Are they not really needed for automation? As obviously many people still automate apps on android, are there just better modules I'm missing? Thanks again.
Yes, the community around XPrivacyLua and similar modules has gotten smaller, as many shift toward lighter setups or private frameworks. You can check if the module is actually working by monitoring Magisk logs or using internal fingerprint test apps. Also, using mobile proxies is becoming more important than relying solely on modules, clean IP fingerprints help avoid shadowbans and keep sessions stable across accounts.

AppOps or Shamiko + DenyList (Magisk) for privacy/spoofing. For automation itself, Shizuku + AutoInput (or Tasker + AutoTools) is more reliable than using XPrivacyLua now.
