I was wondering, in your guys's opinions, what are some must have/know sites when doing local SEO? Also, what are some must know tips and tricks when doing local SEO?

Listing in local directories... that is the must.
Listing in Google maps is another.
Yellow pages and other big listings too...
Work on the brand name, get it out there, give people flyers and make them type your brand on Google. After that, start to work on seo gradually.

All of the above + when you make backlinks add an extension like this "in country/place" you are targeting.

For example, SEO Services in Berlin.

Real and legit business address and real and legit phone number.

Go all things authoritatively local, directories, search engines, local bodies etc.

Real and legit business address and real and legit phone number.

I Lold.

If you are a DIY kinda guy, I recommend starting with a bit of reading. Get over to http://localsearchforum.catalystemarketing.com and start devouring the content. Some super bright minds in there, sharing info that would normally cost serious dough. If you can manage Google Local's many eccentricities, it really isn't all that hard.

It's easy, make seo as usual and add your site in to webmaster tool and select your country. it'll boost ;)

Namaskar

add location in your sites every page..create google plus page

thanks and regards

Thanks for helping the op everyone, this turned out to be a great thread to help out alot of new people to local seo, including myself. Thats why this place is the best...

Having a local address is key!

Submit it to Google Maps and request a postcard with a verification PIN. Once you have that, Google is WAY more likely to rank you on the first page under their maps section. This is key to getting to the first page without a ton of backlinking required and you can compete against other local locations that haven't bothered to do this step.

Thanks everybody so much for posting on this thread. It has helped me out a lot, and I think it will help out many new comers to the site.

I would invest in content and make your site stand out from local competition...hard task but worth it

inclusion in Google's map, local classifieds, email, directories.

Google, Yahoo and Bing places, and make sure all your NAP information is consistent, and stays consistent.
