what are google news approved sites?

Well i dont know also but what im thinking that are sites aproved to write articles for google news sites

um, sites that appear in google news, obviously :)

When you look something up in google you know how there are all those buttons right below the google search box.... Videos, Images, Maps, Books, etc ?? Well, there's another thing in there called NEWS (but it's hidden under the "More" tab... at least in my case), and if you click on that thing you will be taken to a new index / SERP that display only sites that are approved by google into their google news index

Google News approved sites are obviously sites that appear in Google News.

But they are news items that also tend to be shown on mobile Google's initial pages.

If you have an Android phone, click on the Google icon and you will see news items from different sites listed in preview form.

These news items are related to your actual search history.

This is what I get with my Samsung phone.

Yours might be different.

This is a great way to get traffic, but pay close attention to the guidelines that Google News has.

Just because you have a news site doesn't mean you can automatically assume it will appear on Google news sooner or later.

You have to have a specific format.

Check out the requirements list.

It's not easy to become a google news site. You will first need to have a very high-quality site then enroll with google publisher. There is a slight chance that your site will then become google new approved site but it does not mean it will rank. It will take many optimizations and high-quality content to get ranked.

Google News Approved Sites (GNAS)

These are site approved to automatically publish content on the "Google News' search index, usually within 5 minutes of it listing on the approved website

GNAS is a NETWORK of sites globally and they also tend to get priority listing in regular google search

These sites are likely also the foundation of Google's plan to eliminate having to pay all these media companies trying to leech money from them sharing headlines/summaries in search, in the long run

And Google News sites tend to grow in value b/c to be a part of the index you have to publish a certain amount of content and as the sites grow in size, they grow in value to all sites it links to ........ AS LONG AS THE SITE HAS GOOD RETENTION

Sites that are spam farms do not apply ... they will be removed from GNAS in time i'm a firm believer in this or 'ghosted'
