I have a domain that is about 5 days old. I have content and have done the following so far:

    1. Ordered backlinks from a BHW member that said they started Monday. I won't get the report until the service is complete.

    2. Created a hubpages.com account and been posting and included my link. I have been using pingler daily after each post.

    3. I created an RSS link with all of my urls and feed it to random RSS feeds.

    4. I have been creating identica posts.

Google has not updated my meta tags after 3 days I made the change. My robots file allows all search engines to access the site. I check for backlinks and only see 1 that is coming from Yahoo.

My page rank has been jumping from #14, #16, and now slid to page 3.

I know there is so much more I could be doing to get some high ranks. The keyword is no where near a competition since there is less than 2,000 links.

What can I do to blast it to the top and do it better? I am trying to learn and use techniques I see here but spending every minutes of the day I can trying to learn. Any tips would be great to get me on the right path.

    Thanks

One: Do the competition sites have 2K backlinks?
You know if a site has 2K related backlinks it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to beat it

Second: And if your site is only 5 days old your still in the middle of the google dance.

Third: If your site is only 5 days old you are taking a hell of a chance by starting to build so many links

Yeah, you need some patience. Actually, a lot of it. SEO work takes time - weeks to months, not days especially on a new domain.

Build your site, build some links to it. While that site settles in, build another site.

Be patience and you will see the result. Don't focused on search engine! advertise your site and google will automatically index your site and put your site on their list.

Ok, maybe I did get carried away a little....a lot!!! hah

I am new to this and I felt like I should be attacking it with a nuke vs a bottle rocket. So you think I am doing well enough with the current direction I have taken with the site? I am just trying to understand as much of the inter workings of SEO as I can.

I will start a new site, I registered a domain with a different registrar and made it private. I will use a different host and focus on new content. How unique should the content be for each site I create around similar keywords?

Also, how long should the site age with the backlinks, etc, before I kick it up a notch?

    Thanks for everyone input!

WHAT IF they have got 1.9K related backlinks?

What kind of formula is that? Where is it written? You begin saying "You know...", where is it tought? Because I don't know that.

Do you know how much wrong this info (crap) is?

I basically just tried to say that it is hard to beat a other site with 2K related backlinks. (Note nearly before impossible).

I dont think it works like this and i dont think that missinforming people about your speculations is (nearly)helpful in any way.And google dance does not happen in 5 days. Its not the world creation calendar.

Google dance can happen after 5 months too. A simple example is that you build 10 sites in a niche, then many sites in this niche would dance until all sites would take the ranking position they deserve.

Dance means re-ranking which happens quite often or whenever bots start crawling websites for this purpose.

I see what you mean by dance now. Yes, it is dancing multiple times a day and now I am back on page 2. I will not focus much on that as that has been my factor in what I do.

How long should I wait before I start adding more back links, etc? I am not sure at what pinnacle of time, results, backlinks, etc... need to be reach before it is safer to promote it more.

I just loled. 2000 backlinks is not competition? Maybe you've read stories of thousand of backlinks or something....

anyways new sites should be taken slow depending how good your seo is. For instance that one guy had 30k backlinks in what 2-4 months? But he is some super blackhat guru that ranks for kws that make $1000s a month and no one prob knows his methods.

None said that 2000 backlinks is no competition. But formulas like "X" backlinks=unbeatable do not exist.

to the OP:There is no possibility that you will find someone who can answer this question with 100% certainty. We dont know if sandbox exists, if google penalises and how google ranks websites.

If you have made some backlinks, you used the anchor text you want, you have optimised website pages and the keywords are of low competition then dont add for 1 week or so to see where you will land and if your position will change. Or you can manually add high pr edu,gov backlinks for this week. None will penalise you for that anyway:)

Remember this is what i think and this is what i would do!!!

Would purchasing cheap traffic to say ~10,000 uniques a month help my organic ranking? To me it seems like it would help to justify the backlinks being created unless each visitor is tracked from their source which would show the backlinks had no effect.

Depends on the traffic to be honest! I would not bother to buy bot traffic so choose very carefully! If you dont have google analytics code in your website and you dont use adsense, then its safe:).

It would be safe in anyway if you knew that the traffic was 100% legitimate...

relax.the first thing for newbie whitehatters to learn is to be patient.you will not reach top SERP in a month.write content, slowly build links, once the age reaches 3 or 4 months, put higher gear on your link building efforts.

Here is an update. I checked this morning and I am currently #2 in Google. The #1 spot is the company itself and they are my target! I still have more work to do and I am dealing with a less than 2 week old domain name... :)

The dance could drop me back, but this is showing me the steps taken have been very positive. I have less than 30 total backlinks counted for which is good for the radar. the rest of the backlinks that will hit were not pinged, I want it to go naturally as I can.

    Thanks for the support!
