I agree, luckily the business is ridiculously profitable so we can sort of white hat spam through legit Press release sites and if we get picked up by some news sites we will have enough links to dilute the keyword spam we faced...The trick is to act fast before it happens again.

lol the "jk" in my post means just kidding.
There's lots of theories floating around about this latest update, but there has been no time to thoroughly assess the reasons for dips in ranks. I still hold true to my belief that Google wants to completely monetize the first page of all search queries, but some think that my beliefs are completely nonsense. Time will tell who is right and who is wrong.

Talking about youtube, when was the last time you saw like 7 youtube vidoes on the 1st page? I havent, i mean it seems so excessive right now. I cant believe it. Type in my keyword at there is 7 youtube videos on the 1st page.

This is extremely true. All I see now are YouTube videos, amazon listings, ebay listings .... guess that Internet Association thing has something to do with this ...

Currently my top three competitors are dominating the SERPS and they have not had single backlinks for several months. I been keeping a close eye and its been over 4 months and not a single link yet they are in the top three positions. Very interesting..

Domains 11 years old, 20 pages all-unique-written-by-me, hell I sell my own product!
I just received a huge shipment, then wonder why sales are down,

I think your competitors have been affected much more than you have. So yeah, you're moving up a little bit due to Penguin

My EMD that made it through the ems update just got absolutely destroyed. Not happy at all. Just bought it with a fairly hefty price tag.

Google is so screwed up! I have an EMD that I never really pushed and it literally has maybe 100 words on it, 3 photos, and 5 links to my main site. I have this emd as a jump site to my other site. Before the update I was ranked #6, now i'm #1..
