I've been seeing a lot of interesting TLDs lately, and they seem to practically be giving some of them away, but I hardly see anyone use them, is there a reason for this?
For example, .wiki was registered in 2014, I tried registering for arguably one of the most popular fandoms in the world (bts) and registered bts.wiki for 2 dollars, it's obvious no one has seriously used this tld, but why? Some tlds look pretty nice/non-sketchy, and I could envision some usecases for them.
Has anyone had any success with other weird/obscure TLDs?
