I hadn't seen this one mentioned here. But it looks like a good homepage to use along with user agent switcher instead of whatismyip.

These checkers, including yours are all so "filled" with unrequired text and images.
On second load iptect still loads 170 KB of data.

Check out my proxy tester: http://proxy-check.squabbel.com
It only loads 9kb on second load, and includes much more tests and information than the other one.

that looks good too, I kinda like being able to see all the data that others could gather too though

for example, on your link it said city unknown, on iptect it listed my city

That's a nice one too ,that ip.cc check is also very light.

Usually you just want the raw information and no scrolling + searching + load times required.

I just use my local ISP url:

    Code:
    http://tools.virginmedia.com/cgi-bin/env.cgi
All the sent headers, no crap.

Just so you know, it seems to think I'm using a proxy server (when I'm not) but it's reporting my proxy server as my home IP.

    Code:
    Analysis of your current connection
    [LIST]
[*]You are using a proxy server at 82.43.x.x (United Kingdom, M5, Southend-on-sea)
    [*]Your hostname is 82-43-x-x.cable.ubr07.croy.blueyonder.co.uk
    [*]Your primary language is english
    [/LIST]

I actually like that it is so basic, without all that advertising and stuff, but I prefer being able to accurately get the referrer information and stuff for other BH purposes, ya know...

Now if I could just find one that was as uncluttered as the one you have, but had as much accurate information as iptect I'd be happy :)

If you give me the complete information it writes I can tell you why it thinks you're behind a proxy.
Maybe you are behind a transparent proxy your ISP throws on you, that's often used by authorities to analyze/manipulate your traffic or for traffic reduction purposes by the ISP itself.

Of course it's possible the checker is wrong, in that case I'd be interested why.
