Website hits fallen completely off

All is not lost. This has happened to me several times in the past.

I've been in this game for over 20 years and if there is anything about Google that you need to pay attention to, it's this one single fact: it rewards quality.

Now, a lot of people here have very fuzzy ideas or definitions of quality. Let me break it down to you.

Quality is really what the end user defines quality.

It is what the end user defines as "quality."

That's the bottom line.

Your customer is not Google.

Your customer is the end user.

Why do they enter certain keywords instead of others?

What kind of information are they looking for?

What kind of experience do they expect and assume that they will find?

Answer these questions and no matter what Google does to you, you will always come out on top and this all boils down to quality content.

Unfortunately, with the rise of AI and other previous shortcut tools, people are always looking to produce the most amount of junk at the lowest possible cost.

Quality is not even part of the equation and that's why they suffer.

Pretty soon people find another workaround and they repeat the process again.

My solution is pretty straightforward.

Don't do that.

Focus instead on search intent.

Focus on the experience that the end user is looking for.

This is why when you get penalized, continue to publish content but level up your game.

Any internal links that you put into your content must actually add value.

Any new content that you produce that targets a keyword must actually deliver the search intent behind that keyword.

This is not rocket science folks.

The good news is that people who are in this game for easy money, they're going to give up or they'll put up a new site and it will get sandboxed and you have the game to yourself.

Sure, you're penalized right now but if the quality is increasing, eventually you will get your reward.

I know this is not the answer a lot of people are expecting.

I know a lot of people would like some sort of shortcut or some sort of magic bullet solution.

Well, let me break it down to you.

If that's your mindset, then you will continue to struggle.

There is no shortcut.

There is no magic bullet solution no matter how hard software developers try to sell you on their product.

You have to do the work.

You have to serve your end user.
