im new to website flipping i bought an ebook on flipping websites and there's a few things missing from it, it tells you where to go to download a website template but not what to do with it,how do i turn the template into a website do i need software to use it or do i install it somewhere to get it running

If I were you, I would immediately get a refund and move on without spending another minute of my life on this.

Contrary to what many e-book salesmen tell you, building template sites and then flogging them on Flippa doesn't work any longer (if it ever has), mainly because of two things:

a) There are hundreds upon hundreds people trying to do this at all times (thanks to the same e-book sellers), meaning that Flippa is massively overloaded with sites like this, while at the same time there are only few gullible idiots (pardon my French) buying those sites.

b) It's just not worth your time. Even if you managed to get an average high bid of $100 (unlikely) and sell 75% of all sites that you list (highly unlikely), your net profit would be minimal. After you pay Flippa (listing fees + success fees) and pay for the domain name you will be left with around $35-$40. That would be your pay for a good 20-30 hours of hard work, making your hourly profit around $1-2 - a few times less than you would get for flipping burgers at McDonald's.

I agree, shity websites sold well back in the day but now your website has to be legit to have any hope on flippa.
