Most of the time, old domains rank well because they've had more time to build authority
 
Yes its important, and older domains have a longer history of backlinks as well.
 
Well i dont think its the most important factor but for sure its a important factor in seo rankings

yes, it matters! but don't hope an aged domain with poor content can outrank a good piece of content. Google is throwing a bunch of updates these days. Anyway, aged and expired domains are still in the game.
