It's like asking, "How long is a piece of string?". It depends on the domain.

A new domain with a bunch of links from the NYT, Wiki, and the WEF will do better than a normal domain that's been around for 10 years and has an average link profile.

I've seen it first hand: 15-year-old domain vs 2-month-old domain...

All things considered, if you're not going to be able to do anything super remarkable off the jump then you might just want an aged domain (barring it's not spammed to death).

I advertise this domain on different websites so traffic won’t be a problem but it’s a new domain and I was curious if I can also get some organic traffic.

also any idea on how to get nyt, wiki and wef backlinks? I’m in the casino affiliate niche and I can get backlinks from my partners but I’m not sure how HQ are them.

How to get higher-quality links for casino:
Start a real business and get into a better niche. LOL

Also, if I were you I'd focus on video FAR more than search.
Publishers were killing it on Twitch, maybe it's time for Bigo, YouTube, and the like?
 
As @malayan said, it depends on the domain.
Age itself is NOT important. It's only natural that older domains will have better link profiles but I see some old abandoned domains not ranking for anything now and at the same time I see new (1-2 year old) sites ranking and banking.
It all comes down to content and links.

As I said, we will advertise the website in other ways but we are also interested in organic traffic. That’s why I created this topic.
 
As everyone says, the older the domain, the more backlinks (hopefully good backlinks) it would have built organically, and so better rankings vs. a new site.

That being said, I'm not quite sure whether 1 old domain with the same nb of quality backlinks would rank best vs. a new domain. I'd actually argue the opposite. Backlink velocity is important: if google sees you're building good backlinks recently, it's best vs. an old domain that hasn't posted anything in a while and don't get a lot of new backlinks.
 
Surely it matters but it is not the only factor. Ranking will depend on various other factors, it is total sum of these factors.
 
for the seo masters who are in this forum, I've heard that if we use the age domain. Please do not choose a domain originating from Russia, China, Korea, Japan. In this case I can only conclude that the character of the language they use is not the same as in general. If anyone knows, please explain in more detail thank you
