Website about TV news - A good idea?

Hi,

So, I've been wondering for some time if it is a good idea to open a website about TV news. Like probably 99% of people my age, I spend a lot of time watching TV series and I personally like to read news online about the series I'm watching regularly. Basically, if I like a series, I want to know a lot of things about it.

And I started to think about building a website about this. A website where I'll post every news available about the series I'm watching, maybe some reviews and stuff like that, you know. The website would be a basic wordpress one.

The one thing that pretty much discourages me is the fact that I've not seen a website on this niche owned by a single person to appear on a good position in Google search. When I type "Game of thrones news" for example, all the results are from huge websites.

What do you think? Should I start this website? Do you think there is any chance for me to actually make money out of it with Adsense or other ad networks?

Amazon would be the obvious way, selling related dvd box sets

Well, there are a lot of ad networks, even AdSense.

Yes this is a good idea. A good niche. Just find a way to monetize it and I think that you will be rather successful.

Yeah i believe its a good idea, you should find the correct niche first...

I still haven't decided yet if I should start a website about TV show news or not.
