Remember the Web3 hype train? “Decentralization will save us, NFTs will change art, tokens will free the internet…” Yeah, none of that happened. Instead, we got scams, clunky apps, fake decentralization, and endless buzzwords. It didn’t solve real problems, it just made new ones.

Honestly, I’m just glad the hype died off. The internet has enough nonsense without adding tokenomics to everything.

Did any of you make any money on web3?

There are markets existing now for all these buzzwords. NFT's are still bought and sold, just nothing like before when they first hit the scene. You can still buy Tulips and Furbies, even though the hype train for those ground to a halt, too. lol

Same will happen to AI, only the really good projects will survive. Myself I never understood the NFT hype other than a cash grabbing era.

The new scam is AI agents, that are just chatgpt wrappers larping as something revolutionary while being a pile of sht. Garbage industry as of now again.

Yeah, hype was real, profits were mostly for the insiders, not regular users.

Countless coins and tokens are still launched daily but stablecoins are the only thing surviving for so long, and probably gonna be here for a while -- they are the only ones with genuine real world users.

Definitely, gptwrappers are doomed in the near future.
Can't wait to see the new trend, though. The business world seems to be heading in unpredictable directions.
It never felt this saturated in terms of startups.

Yeah, Web3 ended up being way more hype than substance for most people — lots of noise, very little real utility outside of speculation. A few early movers and flippers made money on NFTs and tokens, but the majority either broke even or lost. For most, it was less about building value and more about riding bubbles.

.com never burst
