Web2s doesnt work anymore...

weird... YES! It's weird that its not working FOR YOU!

bhw have change a lot... YES it has and YOU are an instrumental part of that change!

im seeing several noobs here... YES it does and YOU are one of them!

anyways, if you dont believe me, dont believe me... I/WE don't believe YOU!

OP, if YOU can't get W-2s to work for YOU, GIVE UP! Stop using them; throw in the towel but don't try and convince those who are succeeding in what you are failing at that it's not working.

REMEMBER this:

Men with consistent and proven positive experiences are not at the mercy of the arguments of those men who have consistent negative experiences and negative attitudes.

Web 2s work fine your problem probably has more to do with your sites getting deleted or not getting indexed due to content

Web 2.0's never die.. I prefer creating more new web 2.0 is better than getting links form niche and aged and existing web 2.0 sites.. :)

He's not making money with 2.0s

We should all stop making money and make him feel better.

Or you know, just let him face the fact he's spewing nonsense. That's cool too. /honesty

Web 20 works for sure and it all depends how you use them or you just put a blog and post 1 post with a link to your website and never update that blog again.

So all depends on how you use it.

well this surprised me that you didn't even mention about diversification and you claimed that it didn't work.

so base on your professional experience, would you mind sharing what is working now?

Peter

A few weeks back, I still succeed in getting top #10 for a highly sought out keyword, just using 5-10 Web 2.0, all of them even spun content.
In conclusion, web 2.0 still works fine and good.

But it would be interesting if you tell us a bit how do you came to this conclusion.

yeah yeah like 3 mos testing of pure web2s only....

only heavy users knows that web2s doesnt work anymore...

i have 2 workers that test my theory....

i always put some extra money to test some stuffs...

It would be great if you gave some details. SEO is not a single factor. Web 2.0 is just one of the many ways to create links.

weird...

bhw have change a lot...

im seeing several noobs here...

anyways, if you dont believe me, dont believe me...

Please teach us, Guru!

I agree that it all depends on how you use them. We have several tools we can use but their effectiveness will become pointless if we don't know how to use them properly. I know that web 2.0 will continue to work.

Then you're an idiot.
Web 2.0s are no different than websites. There are web2.0s with very high value that have a lot of juice.
This is common sense, really.

Yes you are rite, it is no different than normal websites.
Op you need to provide more info on what you are doing.
Are you targeting short keywords or long tail keywords, irrespective of both they should still work. Apart from this it all depends on what kind of content you are using and also the link diversity.
But you need to wait, just cant say the next day that web2.0s didn't work.

Hmmm...so I see many people saying that Web 2.0's work and that OP is just not doing it properly. So is there a guide on the proper way to do things? I dabbled a bit in Web 2.0's without much luck but opted to go for more of a private network to help my ranking. Am curious what others are doing with Web 2.0's to make them help rankings.

Thanks!

For the money sites as well as for my client sites, I often build web 2.0s(tier 1's) and (I usually stops before building tier 2's for sometimes to make it normal). I am getting good SERPS movement at this position + traffic too. Works like a charm. Dont know why its not working for you.

Did you say copied content?

Why do people go to such lengths and insist this is true and claim they have tested it out.
When clearly the whole world is fine with web 2.0 properties.

with content or spam content, i notice that web2s doesnt work anymore...
i guess this is because they are heavily spam already...
now i used them as tier2s and tier3s..

another link source is gone...

now what works now are those links that are not open to everybody...

They work great, and I can say this with confidence because i just finished a test on content uniqueness which was done on web2.0s that were powering up a moneysite (weren't the only backlinks but still).

I'd also like to ask the right way to use web 2.0s

If for example I built something on weebly - should I use keywordphrase.weebly, or should I use a related word.weebly

How much content should I add to it, should there be lots of pages, or just a couple, should the page names match the keywords, or partially, and how many links from those pages, should they be naked URLs, a mix, or anchor text.

Seriously, any advice would be greatly appreciated on this, and I don't think I'll be the only one who will benefit from it.

Thanks.
