Hi - so I'm building some what I imagine to be web 2.0 properties - in Facebook.

I'm making very realistic people with interests, photos, jobs, etc and building up friends etc.

Would I then add my site link into their "work" part of their profile - or on facebook do you just build up loads of friends and mention links fairly regularly?

My plan would be to build very believable people with a profile link and then have these people join millions of forums with the forum links pointing to the Facebook profiles, which in turn point to the money site.

Told you it was a newbie question!

This sounds like 2-part conversation marketing. Are you doing the forum part to avoid a ban?

I would also imagine you would need to make your information public.

May I ask what sort of offer you are promoting with your "work site"?

Oh blimey - now I really DO feel like a newbie! Forum part to avoid a ban? I was going to join various forums as these fake facebook people I'd built and have the forum profiles point to my facebook profiles to strenghten my facebook links to the money site.

My facebook profiles will all have a profile link to the money site as these peoples "workplace" - and they'll also mention other sites of mine from time to time pressing the sites "share with facebook" buttons..

I don't understand the information public bit.

There's no offer as such - just dating websites!

My fake people are also joining posterous, twitter etc and will be talking about their dating woes, triumphs, highs and lows mentioning a number of my sites (plus others so it's not totally obvious) - hopefully building up believable personas that I can then blast the hell out of.

I'm spending a lot of time on my fake people at the start so they don't seem spammy but ultimately they''l be the barrier between my white hat sites and spam-tastic black hat shennanigans
