Web Search Console verification domain

Would it have any SEO impact to add the domain in Web Search Console by DNS instead of URL prefix ??

I'm not sure yet, but the sites I've added via DNS seem to show a lot more links pointing to it than if I added by URL prefix. I refer to the "Links" tab where they show the domains that point to the site.

What do you think of this ?

I always use the domain version, rather than all the URL prefixes. Especially with expired domains, where links might be all over the place.

Why bother with http:// http://www https:// and https://www., when you can just add an entire domain.
