How many websites for hotels have you built before?

A hotel needs a web redesign how much would you charge them for a complete redesign of their site?
Its totally depend upon the website requirements.

It really depends on the features. In theory, I would ask for $3500 or for $15000, or even more (we are talking here about custom stuff, like Opera PMS and so on).

The website is pretty basic, they are asking for a redesign to the "feel" of the site just text and images, make it look more modern

Nobody’s looked at the website right now to see how it looks or how many pages it has. You can only suggest improvements after seeing the current website. It’s better to talk about the budget after that.

You are the only one who may value your own time investment there. If you're building your portfolio (and I understand you do, since you never built hotel websites before), you can bid with a lower value than usual. My advice is to not go cheap. And, as a general rule, run away from cheap clients: They will end up being a headache, most of the time.

How big the hotel is
And how much efforts you have put in.

Legit business might fee that services is not upto mark when they charge less.

5k is amount some business have in mind already.
Try to be around that.

Thanks will keep that in mind.

If I were the developer, I would consider this comment as good advice.

Depends upon the number of pages .
I usually charge $20 - $25 per page for redesigning the website
That's awesome, how do you find your clients? inbound or outbound?
Most of my clients have been people coming to me and been the result of pure luck I want to turn it into something more consistent.

It depends on the site size and features more complex sites with booking systems or custom designs will cost more always check the full scope before quoting.

If they already have 5-10 pages website, just run a prompt on Vercel , show them what their site could look like and give them an offer. Your offer could be, free website redesign but it needs to be hosted with you (Vercel) and they pay hosting only, like $50/month

For a hotel site redesign, I’d charge anywhere between $3k to $15k depending on complexity. Simple sites with basic pages and a template cost less, around $3k–5k. Custom designs, booking integrations, and extra features push it to $10k–15k or more.

I am working as a freelancer on upwork , fiverr , peopleperhour and also bhw .
All of my clients are from these marketplaces

The cost for a complete hotel website redesign typically ranges from $2,500 to $10,000
