Yep, I know. But you'll know in 6-7 months if a site is going to make money to cover that hosting for next year. At least that's how I look at it.

There are many $ 1 hosting services

You would not know if you did not try it.
All depends on the amount of bandwidth you use and the amount of traffic your website every day

All I'd need is a basic hosting that's cheap but reliable. I use Namecheap and I love their service and support. They are 8$ for the first year.

Let me know which ones do you use/know. I bet more people will find it useful.

I think this is great if you are just starting out. It gives you a chance to get your site established with very minimal cost. As @MisterF said though, make sure you have a plan in place for migrating when it comes up for renewal / or at least be aware of the renewal costs.

And also, if you have an established site, or you have the money for premium hosting, then I'd probably avoid it - because I have never had a good experience with any provider that offers such cheap hosting - either they end up going bust or the service is terribly slow.

Totally agree with you. This might come in handy nly for people who really don't have money to start out, thus 2 EUR for a year is really really cheap.

It's almost free! To check their service its good deal.

If you're building on WordPress you could just use a migration plugin to move your site when transferring to a new host.

I'd do it if I were you, but it's your call.
