Web design & SEO

I ask the client if they have a domain and hosting, if not then I'll include that in my quotation and charge them accordingly, either putting their domain on my shared hosting account or getting the bigger clients their own hosting package.

The Baby plan does not allow unlimited add-on domains, does it?

It does, and the price yesterday was about 90$ for the year, just checked a minute ago and its at $58 !

I'm an affiliate but no point in buying through my own affiliate code, if somebody buys through mine I'll buy through yours if thats allowed :P

They expect me to bring in business and grow their little enterprise.
Why would you invest your time to grow somebodys biz? For $300? No way dude

I started to make websites + do SEO since last month and we have received 2 project in local market.

1. Do you tell the client to arrange for domain and hosting.

No never, we charge some amount for each year to update hosting + domain.

2. Do you advise them to host from a specific host with your affiliate link
No they don't want to know about it.

3. Do you host domain and hosting for them and charge them
Answered.

4. Or do you use reseller hosting, this I have never done before, is this the cheapest option? do you charge them for hosting on a monthy basic or up front?

We used, unlimited hosting package for all clients.

And after making his / they site we rank his keyword for his request,

Try to host their websites at your own host/Make own hosting company and charge them. If they don't pay you in future, they loose their website. Simple as that.

I honestly think that different clients and circumstances will call for different choices. Ask them if they want the whole thing done for them and then work down from there if they have some or all of that done already. If you set it up for them you can charge them for it directly or just do it through your affiliate link when you sign them up.

I leave the choice up to them.

I explain that they have to have a hosting account, and that they can buy their own, or I can recommend someone (affiliate link), or I can provide the hosting for them.

I used to add them to my unlimited account, but I recently bought a reseller account to put them on so they have their own control panel, and make the sites I am building to flip less complicated when I sell.

I encourage them to use my hosting at $20 a month, because I will be available once each month for updates and ssupport if they need it.

If they get their own hostiong, they will have to be the person doing updates, calling to figure out the problems that might occur. If they cannot do this support work (and no one can), I tell then that they will have to pay me or someone to do it if it happens, but if they go with me, I do this trouble shooting and one change a month if they need to update or change something.

So far they go with me, and the first customer paid for the whole year for the reseller account.

Now I offer 3 month payments to make it easier for the customer.

Good to hear about your progress, and thanks for the advice.

Techxan, I really like the idea of purchasing reseller hosting and charging clients a monthly/yearly fee.

Thanks guys.

I use bluehost, reseller account is $240 per year.
