We really need a black friday thread

We all know the thread started a couple of weeks ago by someone about blackfriday, but it seems it died for some reason. Today I just got a renew warning on the hostings and domains I got from namecheap for black friday. Which means there are less than 30 days untill black friday begins, right? People that were around last year know that for a couple of bucks we got a lot of hosting and domain deals from namecheap.

That got me thinking that we should really start a new thread, seeing there is only one month to go.

We can use this thread, or a reputed member could make a new one, but with similar rules to the previous ones.

So how should we do this?

It would actually be great to be moderated by an actual mod, even though I don't know if they have any time left for our petty needs :)) That's why I said a reputed member could do it
 
Aren't there usually volunteers who have opened Black Friday threads a few weeks prior to the respective event? I don't know if these were independent users who've decided on their own or if they've previously asked for approval.
Either way, I completely agree with your request as this thread, if managed properly, is extremely useful for both parties - buyers and sellers.
 
You want only a Black Friday thread or do you want it extended to another event before Santa comes down the chimney?

Make it an always-available-allpromotions-alllaroundtheyear-everything-from-5%-to-99%-off kind of thread,it should be nice:)) But as black friday is getting closer and closer, those offers are what I was thinking about. Maybe cyber monday too?

I can set that up and monitor it to a certain degree.

Someone above mentioned that maybe @Zwielicht could be involved but he has so much on his plate it is like he is having Thanksgiving dinner 3 X on one plate.

Give me a little bit and I'll set it all up with reasonable ground rules for people to follow.

As it will be visible to eveyone, and its best if membres here won't promote their own offers in the thread, it's best if BHW offers have their own thread!

I think one post from a seller who has an active BST and is offering a special offer for Black Friday/Cyber Monday would be reasonable.

Shoot, they are vetted by the staff and most of the other offers we will see are not.

If it's a one time advertising without bumping, then it seems reasonable, as i know lot of membres won't appreciate things getting mix up on the same thread, but whatever mods
decide it's ok as long as the thread is CONTROLLED on like these events
