We have only 3 methods of link building.

Cheep | Fast | Good

1) cheap and fast, but not good.
2) fast and good but not cheap.
3) cheap and good but not fast.

Which you prefer ?

For my opinion "cheap and good but not fast" right choice in this three option.

4) Good with proper link velocity and anchor text.

In other words: free and natural but arriving slowly :D
SEO's job is just improve this slowly process in invisible way to competitors who watching their dashboards but not seeing nothing :D
In some cases job are visible but impossible to understand for oldschool SEO's.
As the results, competitors are so confused and often talk "it not working" :D
And thereafter they are become Adwords customers, what Google had in mind.

I usually don't care what competitors see or don't see as to my SEO.

I care what Google sees or does not see.

I don't care you methods.
I only care about my rank on google.

If competitors see what you are doing, they are quickly start doing same, as the effect winning who have more money,
in this way concept of lowering costs disappear.
Also if they see that you using PBN - Google see and know it quickly too.
And I am not talking here about hiding PBN via robots.txt or cloaking,
because it's easy method to lose all assets.
I am talking about much more advanced methods which base on linking scheme reference.
In these days, Google use a bunch of ways to detect unnatural links,
and each change in algorithm adding next.

@BassTrackerBoats - do you using PBN ?

Best regards, Greg.

My guess is that you have not spent a ton of time ranking sites; let them try.

They are not the competition; I'm their competition.

All depend on how popular is set of keywords and how much can bring traffic and customers. Because we can't compare phrases with 10 searches p/m to phrases w 100 000 p/m. Also we cant compare phrases with CPC $0.1 to $10. Where SEO giving much more profits, phrase become quickly competive. In this case using much more effective methods, not visible to competiion - driving much more profits and do not allow competitors to copy what you doing, because they are do not understand process.

Let them copy me.

Let them think they are copying me anyway.

@BassTrackerBoats - do you using PBN on expired (deleted) domains ?

I use PBNs but not like most others here as I dedicate a PBN site to another site and don't spread the PBN out to a bunch of non-related type sites.

Your basic premise "We only have 3 methods of link building" is flawed as there are really a ton of different methods of link building and disinformation like that can end up hurting those that are looking to build a solid backlink infrastructure and do it in a way that is Google friendly.

In my opinion, I will choose fast and good but not cheap. The link building should be good, doesn't matter if it is slow but should not be cheap.

I'm agree with you, because it's absolutely minimum to get better results and minimize risk.

... there are really a ton of different methods of link building and disinformation like that can end up hurting those that are looking to build a solid backlink infrastructure and do it in a way that is Google friendly.

I'm agree also than there is ton of methods of link building, but if we talking about effectivity, all those things we can compare to just 3 previous ways, maybe with a bit modification.

This is because Google in their algorithm use solutions that we can't avoid. So, any method which making link profile far away from reference will fail, because will be detected.

As you mentioned "...but not like most others here...", As I'm new here, I don't know which methods using BHW members, but I am monitoring hundreds deleted domains and domains which was sold on auctions. And it's really sad to see how people wasting money and possibilities.... Just less than 3% really know how to avoid detect their network, all the rest making base mistakes because following fake gurus.

In most cases, they fail because buying just numbers, such DA TF DR instead of good assets which often have not so good numbers.

So, I'ts nice to hear that you are not in those 97%.
