I've been reading a lot of discussions across various mediums where the overall tone is negative regarding growth potential in the online sphere.
  • "My crypto portfolio is down 50% from when I bought in."
  • "SEO is too hard in 2018, there are too many agencies snatching up clients and undercutting costs."
  • "Algorithms in social networks are getting too smart. All my Instagram accounts have been shadowbanned."
  • "Every method I see has been saturated with low quality spam. If it still worked, they wouldn't have shared it."
I spend a lot of my time focused on negative aspects of my own situation, under the impression that focusing on eradicating the negative will allow more space for the positive. What I should have been doing this whole time is focusing instead on the positive aspects, and determining the best route to make them grow.

Whether you've already made your millions, or just got started on a shoestring budget, you will make it. Even if you lose everything and have to start back at the ground level, the lessons learned will likely be worth the "cost".

The fact that you can read this, in English, from a computer or mobile device, with an internet connection puts you in the top tier already. Now it's just a matter of learning and growing from there.

It might only take days. It might take decades. But you've got it. We are all gonna make it. Our lives depend on it.

Good words! That is something almost everyone should remember (including myself) so thanks for writting it!
 
Perseverance is the best thing you can train yourself to have. You can literally do anything in the World if you just keep trying. The world is your oyster and the fact that you can teach yourself anything and learn about everything from neurosurgery to making money playing videos games is crazy. All the information in the World is there. You just need 2 things. A plan and a strong mind. I'll leave you with one of my favourite quote.

"Think big, and don't listen to people who tell you it can't be done. Life is too short to think small.” – Tim Ferriss

This is so true. I learnt that you got to switch off and think about yourself if you ever want to achieve something you have to think big .

Realistically, you cannot fail long-term.

There is so much that is practically guaranteed money and is easy to do. Obviously that won’t make you millions but it gives you the money to invest in things that may. Money makes money.

The main issue is that testing is hard work. The vast majority of people aren’t prepared to put in the work and even fewer persevere through multiple failures.

It’s a trait I see in nearly everyone I know personally. They are blindly following a path that they are told (by teachers, parents, friends, society on a whole) they should be following without actually having any interest in it. The moment you suggest something or try and teach them an aspect of marketing that I know can make them a decent amount of money they give up after making no money in the first day.

I remember this one friend that I helped set up a store, find and add profitable products and showed them how to get traffic (IG, PPC, SEO). I checked back in a week later and they’d closed the store because they spent their £75 Google AdWords credit on a single keyword and made no sales. Apparently IM is a scam now...
 
I can say persistence is key to winning. You can see whole bunch of threads here " I tried this method 10 days and it doesn't work ".
As you said " It might only take days. It might take decades. " and remember there's no such thing like overnight success.

This is what I hate about my generation now. Everyone thinks the world owes them a favour and they should get everything they want (free education etc...). No one just grinds hard and gets on with it.
 
Learning, Learning, Learning and applying some of it is what I do on day to day basis, being live here after a couple of years. Even some threads that are posted years back which have some golden nuggets yields for me very well.
All these years founded 3 startups in three different niches and went through different learning curves. Nevertheless, all of them were testing my metal, but I must say that BHW in one way or other way helped me a lot each time when I went low.

Thanks for inspiring us. I think I also used to get demotivated with failures. Now, I look for alternative options and I see many (in fact more rewarding ones). So those failures happen for good as well.

Some people around you may seem to be ahead of you, some might seem to be behind you But everyone is running their own RACE, and walking their own journey in THEIR Time. Do not envy them. And definitely don't mock them. They are in their TIME ZONE, and you are in yours! Life is about waiting for the right moment to act. So, RELAX. You're not LATE. You're not EARLY. You are very much so ONTIME, and in your TIME ZONE. Make your move. Destiny is set up for you. Make everyday your day!!
