Hi

I just stumbled across an old expired domain, it has been expired for (9 months) it's a niche I am familiar with and it still has a few good authority backlinks that have not ben deindex from article directories web 2.0 etc. In the past, I have resurrected some old domains and rebuilt them but most of them just had maybe 5 articles of content.

In the case of this domain, it has about 60 articles a lot of them very well written, my plan is to reuse most of it, rewrite some of it and add some new and updated content. Question, is are there any legalities of doing this (using all the content) and also has anyone done this using most of the old content and if so how well did it rank and What has been your experience doing this.

Thanks

Hi, @escapesouth. Many of my clients are doing this, but they don't use the old articles as they are. They forward the articles to me so I could re-write the content. The domain might have already expired, but not the copyright for the previous owner's content. You always want to avoid legal issues.

You've mentioned the old site has about 60 articles. Are they lengthy articles?

I will have to consider that tool this is my first website but if it works out ok I will probably get that tool to speed things up.

Thanks :)
