Since July 12th, I’ve seen a consistent drop in keyword rankings across my site. All optimization has been done via white-hat methods—fully original content, no manipulative tactics. However, from July 21st onward, despite new content being properly indexed, only one keyword is ranking—and that’s buried past page 5, pointing to a product page instead of the actual article.
It’s been a brutal few months with Google. The March core update supposedly targeted AI content but ended up cutting traffic for many legitimate sites. May brought a stealth update that clearly impacted indexing. And in June, keyword targeting seems to have taken a direct hit. These back-to-back algorithm punches leave little room to adapt. Honestly, is Google SEO still a viable strategy?
How are your keywords performing? Mine dropped 10% in just 13 days. That’s a steep hit.
