I don't own xrumer but I just paid for my first blast and got the results yesterday.

It looks like almost all of the 'success' listings are just for creating profiles in forums and not for making actual posts. Is that what it's supposed to do?

Are mere profiles (with link-filled siggys) good enough? Will they be crawled? (I'm pinging them as we speak). woulldn't actual forum posts be far better?

Also I checked out some of the profiles and many say you must be a member of the forum to look at profiles. My guess is that these are useless because a spider could never find them.. Am I correct?

I am impressed with the number of profiles indicated in the results report, but I'm not sure if I should be happy that these results are of the right kind. I'd appreciate some perspective from other, far more knowledgeable xrumer users/blast customers.

    Thanks.

If you paid for forum posts and only got profiles you should discuss it with the dude or gal.
Ive noticed more and more forums not having their profiles public so if you have to login to view your profile those links will never be crawled by the bots and therefore are essentially useless for backlinks.
You may have an long list of successes but from my experience maybe half of those are not publicly viewable ie useless for backlinks.

1 question: how are you going about pinging such a large list of urls? I'm assuming your list is in the tens of thousands of urls.

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

I've sent an email to the service provider and I hope he will respond soon.

Many of the listings in the success file state "profile created but no permission for creating new topic". Also many of them include the statement "BB code not working", which AFAIK means that not even a siggy link was made...

As for pinging them, the best solution I've found is to use pingdevice.com because they allow you to enter a bunch of URLs at a time (61 max) so I'm copying and pasting blocks of 61 URLs at a time. I've got 8 browser tabs devoted to this at the moemnt.. Tedious, but doable. I just hope the URLs I'm pinging will have some positive effect.

I just got a response from the guy who did the blast and he apologized for having a problem that created profile links instead of post links. He promised to re-do the entire blast for me within 2 days. I'm pretty happy with that remedy.

strange xrumer automatically converts your bb code links to html if bb code isnt enabled or the forum uses html instead.

Regarding pinging 61 sites at a time..damn you got some patience dude.. I wouldnt even attempt especially with a list of thousands of forum profiles.
I'm still looking for a way to index those links on a mass scale.

It will use Html only if the option is enabled.

Sometimes you have a bb-code problem even if the option is already enabled and that's because using old version of xrumer. With 5.0.12 this problem kind of dissapeared and I am making more then 11k per 5 hours. :usa:

I've since picked up ScrapeBox which has a mass ping function. Takes a while but you can load a giant list and a list of ping services (I scraped the list from pingler.com) and off it goes...

Unless you have a very strong site wouldn't it be suicide to ping 10s of thousands of links all at once?
Surely it's better to let a lot trickle through than a deluge of so many?

I don't agree. Although there has been a lot of talk about building too many backlinks too fast the truth is that if Google really kicked every site out of the SERPs that exhibited this behavior you could always just blast everyone above you out of the way right?

Does anyone have any experience with this actually happening to them? I do not mean the well-known Google dance where you drop off the radar for a while but come back again (sometimes 10x stronger than before). I mean has anyone built backlinks too fast and had their site completely removed from the SERPs by Google?

That sounds odd.... and to be honest, the true power of xrumer creation of profiles is the "game" you can play afterwards - with your different profiles..
