Fucking faggot, that guy needs a teaching, scumbag you shall rot in hell. Sorry to hear about your lost man, contact you CC company or if you paid through paypal without CC, file a dispute and call paypal, tell them unauthorized transaction. Show them the google search on this guy's email, that might help.
 
And to think he was going to sell me a copy of EZadposter for $145.

I doubt I would have gotten it. That sucks so much.

I think just his name and city/state would be enough information and shouldn't be an issue. We certainly don't need more than that, but it would be nice to be on the lookout with that info.

I contacted him from another id today and look what he told me:

a) Go to your bank, revert the payment if possible.
b) of course do the paypal dispute and add parts of the communication. Just 5-6 lines.
c) 3000$ is a lot, I don't know where this motherfucker is from but I were you and could not revert the transaction then I'd directly go to my lawyer and sue him + let him file criminal charges.
 
You could go to the police as well, if you say that someone someone hacked your paypal account (anything along the lines of an unauthorised transaction), they might actually be helpful. If pressure is put on paypal by the law to refund your money, you just might get your money back.

Just be careful if pursuing this through a lawyer and or legal action, as most of your chat logs will probably come up and as you may erase yours discussing what the purchase was for, I'm sure that "shawn" will hold onto his for future reference.

Your best bet is the unauthorized transaction bit through CC or paypal etc.

Don't want you to lose anymore money with a lawyer for nothing, especially when they start digging through your dirty laundry.

Unfortunately, I too, got scammed by him. He posted ads for me at the beginning of February, no problem. Then, I paid for another batch of ads at the end of February. I received excuse after excuse of why these ads weren't getting posted. I do understand that there were some CL issues during this time, but there's no way that between the end of February and beginning of April, that he couldn't get some ads posted. I sure wish I would of seen this thread a lot sooner!

Anyways, I emailed him about once a week during this time and he always responded with his excuses. He refused to give me a refund, just kept saying that he would get to them. Finally, just last week, I told him I would have to file a PayPal dispute if he wouldn't post my ads. I said that's not what I wanted to do, but I felt I had no choice. He said to go ahead and do that, and he won't respond, and Paypal will find in my favor, and I will get my money back.

Well, I just heard back from PayPal, and they did find in my favor, but of course can't recover my payment. So, no refund. I don't know if I can recover my money-I paid partially with a PayPal balance, and partially with my checking account. Definitely won't do that again-will always use credit card from now on.

I am a newbie and just starting out, so this really hurts me. I guess it's fairly common in this business.
 
dispute it as an unauthorised purchase say you never bought it
And phone them up too. This will certainly get your money back.
 
I think it really sucks that so many feel it's ok to screw people here. It's not. It's not ok anywhere.

I hope xmagiceye, racerswife and the others get some form of restitution, although I'm not hopeful in that regard.

That is just fucked. It's one thing to dick a company out of 3 grand by cookie stuffing or whatever, buts its another to dick a person who likely works hard to make that kind of money. karma is a bitch he will get his..
 
Definately file police charges or small claims court if you can find his info. I doubt selling PVA's is illegal.
