Well, that's not a news, I have mentioned this already on BHW but no one cares. The thing is , if the same company own Pepsi and Coke, what can you expect when it comes to hosting? A group of people is holding all the companies...The thing is, you didn't dig deep enough.
It is not Endurance International Group a real owner, you didn't dig deep enough...dig deeper and I bet you will reach Rockefeller or some of his friends

I am looking for a new hosting company, am currently using HG.. They blocked my sites saying i was using more than 20GB of space for all my domains and until I reduced my usage footprint they would not bring them back up. I ended up moving to VPS so they would come up but not happy with the VPS service I am getting. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.. I am going to check out a couple that were mentioned here.. (hostwind and namecheap.. any others ?)
 
Oh my Fu**in god... really HG and Bluehost who act like a rival at SERP are same company?...
 
Why only HG is prohibited and Bluehost is not prohibited?

This is weird and want to know exact reason? If HG owner will be changed to some US/EU person then we will be allowed to promote HG?
 
How much is huge traffic? If you know exactly how much traffic you are getting then you can get better options. Atlantic.net is always my option for best performance vpss.

I'm a total NOOB but the 3 times I had customer service issues with HostGator they were dealt with quickly and with minimum waiting time. I think the longest I waited was 8 minutes. I was, however, using their online chat function. What was your experience like that you say their CS was bad?

I'm not promoting HG. BHW overlords don't exterminate me plz.
 
For a few dollars more you can afford vps or cloud hosting which a WAY better.I remember using them 6 years ago bit since then I use Only dedicated servers. Can't understand people hosting important data somewhere... maybe for pbns is ok but real project?...
 
Seems like HostGator just got a black name for joining that group haha
 
I used to exclusively use HostGator, up until a few years ago, when I was living in Houston, TX. I used to drive by their HQ building, quite often. One day, I noticed their building had put up a massive "FOR SALE" sign, and I immediately jumped ship and started using several other hosts, until I found one I was really satisfied with.

I never had a problem with HostGator, but it may have been because I left before the problems began to hurt the clients. Not sure. In either case, I cannot badmouth them, as I was fine when I used them.
