Guys, I got scammed by PlayerUp — and no, not by a seller, buyer, or random member… I got scammed by the platform itself.
I listed my Instagram account for sale. The buyer purchased it, changed all the passwords, confirmed everything, thanked me, and even told the middleman that he was fully satisfied and had full control of the account.
The middleman then marked the transaction as “completed.”
And after that? Complete silence.
I tried every support option they have, sent emails, opened new tickets, contacted the middleman.. literally did everything possible just to get my payment.
They replied once, apologized for the delay, asked me how I prefer to get paid… and then POOF.. disappeared again for over a month now!
As of today, still no response. Still no payment. Still waiting.

Ps: i did a little researsh and find out that i was not the only one!!

Not sure anyone had this experience before ,or it just started
Copy some authority and send them a mail

Something fishy about what the OP posted.

You blacked out the "last reply" date above by the site. Why would you do that? Then you said they poof disappeared for a over month.

So they replied to you over a month ago and then you replied to them on Thursday night this week updating them with that address they requested?

Either:

1. You are lying about the last time they replied to you, or

2. You failed to respond back to them providing a payment address for over a month which is why they didn't take action.

Either scenario, this isn't a scam.

Yes, the site is a classic scam!!! I will publish a large number of proofs soon. The middleman just scammed me for $2300. Soon I will publish the entire history of their fraud!

Hi everyone, i just contacted support on Telegram and the guy was really helpful and responsive. The issue is almost resolved! He said i should expect my payment within 96 hours and that he’ll try to speed it up..
He also apologized for the unresponsive support team on the website and assured me they’ll fix the problem as soon as possible.
I’ll keep you updated tho!

Hahahahaha, probably because I sent them that article showing there are other victims besides me. But now that you see what I’m about to publish, that site will be shut down for good.

Scammers getting scammed by scammers eh? (Instagram doesn't allow selling of accounts!) :)

Well, here’s the latest update guys! They’re still stalling and still not willing to pay me. Imagine delaying a simple $87 payout !!!! What happens if someone sells an account for over $1,000? They’ll probably just block you and keep your money. I mean, they can’t even process $87!!!!!!Capte.JPG

I guess a few years ago I made a test purchase on this forum, something like $10, didnt receive anything, this middleman bullshit was completely useless, just a fancy scam platform at this point

Based on my experience with them so far, i couldn’t agree more! And the best way to describe them is exactly like you said: “fancy scam platform"

i ordered reddit accounts on playerup and had no problem for super cheap. this is concerning to read about!! Id suggest hounding there higher ups, if that means finding corporate emails/founders, you should do so. These customer agents couldnt care less about you!!

Wishing you good luck...

I found a seller on PlayerUp and we agreed to use the middleman service for safety. Everything looked normal and I followed the process exactly as instructed. I opened their checkout page and sent $2,300 in Bitcoin to the address shown there. After I sent the payment, the problems started. No one was responding, and when they did, I had to wait 2–3 days for a reply. They were asking strange and meaningless questions. After 7 days of waiting, the seller backed out of the deal because they found another buyer outside of PlayerUp, while I was still waiting for someone to respond and asking them to simply return my money. After waiting a few more days, I started pressuring them, and only then did I finally receive an explanation.

They told me that the funds were not received on their side. From that point on, the entire conversation turned into strange and illogical explanations. They started claiming that my device might be compromised and that some kind of malicious browser software replaced the Bitcoin address, while also saying that their addresses are always static.I started checking everything myself. Most of the wallet addresses match between my checkout and their archived pages. However, the Bitcoin address, the one I sent the money to, is different. This is where their explanation doesn’t make sense to me.
If my device had been compromised, I would expect all addresses on the page to be changed, not just one. Especially not only the one I ended up sending funds to. The other addresses remain exactly the same as on their official page. At the same time, they initially claimed that their addresses are static, but later admitted that some of them have changed over time, which you can also see in the evidence.

From the moment they realized I had caught them lying and told them I would make everything public and report it to the authorities, the messages started: “please wait,” “we will update you,” “we will connect you with a blockchain expert to investigate the case,” “if the fault is on our side we will compensate the loss,” and similar meaningless excuses, manipulation, and delay tactics. In the meantime, while I was researching them, I left negative feedback for the middleman where I simply stated that I had been waiting 10 days for my funds to be returned. That feedback was removed within a few minutes, which raises additional concerns about their transparency. I also took screenshots while the feedback was still visible, because I anticipated this would happen.

Once again, I urge everyone to be careful and not to use the middleman service on PlayerUp, because you never know when you might become their victim. Usually, victims are those with larger transaction amounts, while smaller transactions are used to build feedback and positive reviews.
