Do you also feel like there is a war on crypto right now?

In 2025 many OTC traders and independent exchanges have been shut down (for various reasons).

Almost no affiliate systems offer crypto payouts anymore.
KYC is pushed HARD on everyone involved in crypto.
Blockchain analysis is hotter then ever.
The traditional banking/investment sector is pushing for more control.

Do you agree?
And most important: Can you recommend countermeasures?

Yeah, it definitely feels like crypto is under pressure right now. I wouldn’t call it a full “war,” but there’s clearly a strong push for more control in 2025.
A lot of OTC desks and smaller exchanges getting shut down isn’t random. Regulators are tightening the net, and anything that operates in a grey zone is getting squeezed first. Same with affiliate programs dropping crypto payouts, compliance and banking pressure make it easier for them to just avoid crypto entirely.
KYC being pushed everywhere and blockchain analysis getting more advanced also fits the same pattern. Transparency from a regulator’s point of view, but for a lot of crypto users it feels like the original idea of privacy and permissionless money is slowly fading.

Obviously cryptocurrencies are becoming more popular and therefore the government wants to take them under control, just as it was with fiat money.
Yes they are also big on fighting cash slowly but surely pushing everything towards CBDCs.

I see cryptocurrency still developing, many countries are recognizing it. And many people are still skeptical about it. But cryptocurrency is still the trend of the future, and in the future it will replace fiat currency. Investing in cryptocurrencies, in my opinion, is still the trend of the future.

Yes, pressure on crypto is real—more regulation, KYC, analytics, and fewer anonymous rails. It’s not a war, but consolidation and control. Best countermeasures aren’t evasion: stay compliant, diversify payment rails, use crypto for settlement, not anonymity, and build regulation-resistant, legitimate business models.

crypto is not in attack but cash.
crypto gets simply more regulated to have full control over it.
back in the 90's people who understood economics always repeated digital money is the wet dream of bankers.
Todays morons call digital money anti establishment.

Not crypto is on attack but cash.
Once you lose cash your financial freedom is gone.

But people still don't get it

I never feel that a fight/war ever exist on markets. This is how markets breath, going up and down

I agree that banks mostly want to erase crypto but ultimately crypto is decentralized; its code is almost indestructible and it is here to stay. I believe due to the global economy being down right now it has also affected crypto; therefore there will be a time that it will rise again.

I agree with this plus this is actual cycle

yeah it's real, not paranoia. last 18 months made that obvious

feels less like "regulate crypto" and more like "behave like traditional finance or get cut off from banking rails." OTC guys and small exchanges are easy targets, no lobbying weight

countermeasures, nothing exotic. don't keep everything on one exchange, spread out and self-custody what you're not actively trading. own your keys, hardware wallet minimum. don't build a business fully dependent on crypto affiliate payouts, too much of that got wiped already. keep clean records, sloppy paperwork makes you the easy target first

not "beat the system," just "don't be the low hanging fruit"
