    Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, if not I apologise.

Firsly, I'm not a complete novice, I am a CIWI (Certified Internet Webmaster Instructor). I have a number of Microsoft Instructor qualifications, as well as TCP/IP and Internet Security qualifications. However those were all obtained 'back in the day' with HTML 1, ASP 1, javascript was for button rollovers and getting a good SERP meant keyword spamming. Don't think the acronym SERP had even been invented yet, definitely not SEO. (So those certificates pretty much mean squat now 80)

I have done everything from selling custom designed PC mods, to Lecturing, to Designing and implementing a country wide Wireless Network and a whole host of things in between.

Five years ago, I had a serious car accident and ended up in a coma for 7 weeks. Three months in hospital, 14 surgeries and a year of physical therapy rehab, I had lost my business and well pretty much everyting.

For the last three years I have been contracting to the South African government developing .NET based traffic camera offence processing software, but my health is making it impossible for me to continue such a long term commitment. I need something to do from home, that I can work on when my health allows, that has the potential to keep my bills paid.

"Well that's easy enough I'll just whip up a quick website in Dreamweaver and I'll be making money in no time."

My first rude awakening came when I found out that Dreamweaver doesnt even support ASP any more, and it just went down hill from there. LOL

Ok well to the point (finally). Since the beginning of December 2010, I have one webstore open, a second ready to open (just waiting on bank for payment portal) and a third about 60% of the way there.

The store that is open is slowly climbing up the google charts, very slowly it's painful. (I know white hat takes time) It has a 85 - 89% score on IBP (depending on SE used for link popularity) for whatever that is worth.

I am in desperate need of backlinks though so I am thinking Article Marketing Robot is probably a good idea, I have done a fair number of manual article posts but man that's work!! I have also subscribed to LinkPushing and am starting to see results.

Really what I am looking for is a mentor to take a look at what I've done so far and make suggestions on how to improve things. Oh and answer all the dumb newb questions I have (like why the heck does Yahoo only index one page??). I have a few more stores I want to open in the very near future, and I would also like to get into affiliate marketing. I know that a successfull site needs more than just to be on the first page of google, word choice and asthetics of landing page all play a roll.

I am incredibly committed and serious about this, so your time will not be wasted I promise.

If anybody feels the need to take me under their wing, I would be eternally gratefull, and (as long as I can get her to sign the paperwork) I will rename my firstborn after you.

    Thanks in advance.

    Dave

I think its a case of keep waiting, it moves at snail pace and adds a few pages - some sites i know that have good percentage of pages indexed are in most cases over 5 yrs old. Others i know are in a similar boat.

Who's crying? This is a polite request for assistance , with motivational facts to assure anyone who might concider helping me that I am serious and will not be wasting their time.

If you don't want to help that's fine, no hard feelings but insulting me is less than constructive.

Thanks for the offer, I do appreciate it. I am unfortunately unable to PM yet (not enough posts).

Most of the questions I have would involve me me posting URL's which I cannot and don't really want to do in a forum.

But to start with, I have read so many conflicting things about which is the best method for backlinks. It looks like hyperlinked keywords to the money site in article content is something that google is giving more attention to. Do you think it is worth buying Article Marketing Robot and posting as many articles as possible? If so should I publish the original article on my money site and link back to it, or do I just link to my home URL?

    Thanks again.

    Dave

Sorry dude, i actually didnt even read your post before posting.
If i may give u some advice - dont trust these 152 post teenage internet junkies for this job, if youre really serious. Research and find someone whos done it before, who can provide you with evidence of success. U know, take it from a business decision perspective. You just cant trust anyone from a dark forum who says hes a PRO. Most of the people here are something similar to scammers. So beware.
    Research, research, research. Research.

Are you going to write new and unique articles each day?
Because it's a very tedious job....
What I would Suggest is create some indirect links to your site..like blogs or social bookmarking links where you put up a link to your site and then provide backlinks to those sites, it will pass on the link juice from the 1st tier to your site and you won't even have a risk of getting your site sandboxed and the ranking of your site will slowly move up without any risk..

You can also do it by posting articles and then passing on the link juice to your site through it.. but after a point of time it will really get difficult to write quality and unique articles.

Tell me about it! Writing unique articles is serious work. Which then brings up the question. Would it be safe to have some web 2.0 links back to my site, and then spin articles en masse and point them to the web 2.0 links?
Or is the might google cleverer then that?

    Thanks

You can spin the content but the main question is, will it be accepted by article. Sites?
I don't think they will accept your spun content, they only look for unique articles and if you don't get unique articles how will you pass on the juice to your web 2.0 links.
