Waiting period before getting more backlinks

Now that's litterally a 20k dollar question

I had a feeling it might be like that :)

I am curious, however... there are press release services that guarantee inclusion in all these big news sites and they don't cost that much. Actually, I think I've seen one on fiverr for $60 if I remember correctly. Won't this do the trick?

Those are nofollow links and on a category on the websites that are not crawled much, also duplicate content isn't really cool for seo.

But they can get you some traction as if your site is being talked about.

You can use better press releases (Cision stuff). Those cost 600+ though.

Knowing the number of links you got in a short period of time, you may not need anymore as your site may get tanked in the next google update.

So why the f*ck am I paying for press release then if it gets me no backlinks and no traffic?? Pfff....

Thanks for the heads-up

You should start seeing results within a week or so, two at the most. If nothing changes by then, then your links aren’t as powerful as you thought they were. You should be prepared for the possibility, given how cheap you got them.
Good luck, regardless!

yeah, 1 week is what I'll allow google to rank my sites from now on. If they don't do it I'm gonna force them to do it (already started trying to index the backlinks that exist but google has not picked up yet. After those 60-70 backlinks show up in my GSC and the site still doesn't rank within 1 week I will finally deem the backlinks worthless. But since Google had only discovered 20-25% of them it's not fair to say that the backlinks are crap)

Thanks for your input!

Hi Monere,

can you please provide an update on the keyword ranking for the service your ordered in the "Jack Sparrow" thread. As I'm very much interested in the service; I'm wondering if it works at all.

Many Thanks in Advance!

As I mentioned in that thread I will update it when rankings improve, that's why I haven't updated it yet. For now, my rankings are the same (ie not in top 100... unfortunately the keyword tool that I'm using only tracks the first 100 results of google rankings. so I can't know whether the backlinks did the job or not and actually improved my rankings from, say, nowhere to top 200 or something like that).

However, some of the backlinks have been finally picked up by Google Search Console (3 weeks after I got the backlinks GSC had picked up 39 of them... still not enough, though, cause I've received over 200 backlinks).

Yesterday I ordered an xrummer blast and some social signals that I've pointed to the backlinks that have not been discovered / indexed by google, because unless google picks up most of those backlinks I can't know if the service is good or not. Personally (just a hunch) I think that those backlinks are good but my site is having issues somewhere else (either the domain is faulty cause it's an aged and dropped domain name, or the keywords I've targeted are too competitive, I don't know, but something's not right somewhere).

Anyway, I'm checking the rankings 2-3 times a day, and when something happens I will definitely update that post.

If you want my honest opinion - but bare in mind that I am a newbie, so my opinion might be wrong - I'd say that you buy that service because you'll get a good mix of backlinks (including social bookmarks and signals which have already been picked up by google), but do not rely on them alone. I think the best kind of backlinks for ranking any site are indeed guest posts and/or niche edits, but those are expensive as fuck for someone like me. If you have a site that is already ranking and just wish to improve your SERPs a little bit, or to consolidate your position the backlinks that I've ordered will do the job fine in my opinion.

If you don't mind to PM me your site and email address, I'll provide you with a semrush keyword report.
