VPS + Wordpress = im done

Hello guys. i am bought SSD VDS/VPS Server from Alexahosting. This is my first SSD VDS/VPS Server. i want build wordpress video web site. what steps should i take ?

1. i bought SSD VDS/VPS Server
2. i bought domain(from name cheap)
3. I wrote to live support
- " hey what is this my dns1 and dns2 for domain"
- live support say to me "use cloudflare"

I just want to set up a wordpress site. can you help me pls ?

and i have this email

ATTENTION !!!
The virtual server was created but not installed, you need to go into the server control panel on "Provisioning VPS" and install the necessary OS. For all operating systems, you mandatory must fill in the following fields:
1) Hostname
2) RootPassword
3) Username (NOT 'root')
4) UserPassword
 
Advertise on BHW
They basically said they dont have DNS setup for you.
So they asked you to use Cloudflare's Free DNS. Point it to A record + your VPS IP address and you should be fine
 
For the second part, they asks to install an OS on your VPS, Linux is the one to go for wordpress

oke first step i install an OS my VPS. check this pictures pls

1. Hostname ( i write there any name? )
2. instal profile (this is my OS ? ant now have linux.. centos 6 7 8 - debian - ubuntu - windows)
3. disk layout ( i have totality 30gb i chose it )
4.
5. extras ( install IPS manager lite - install plesk - install vestaCP - install Cpanel - SSH disable direct root login) i have choose 2 times what options should i choose ?

1) I would write my domain for hostname
2) I always work with centos , i would go with centos , ubuntu is pretty popular as well, Ubuntu can work as well
3) Looks fine to me
5) for linux, go with Cpanel, that is the industrial standard, but it will cost quite a lot. If cost is an issue go with VestaCP, i worked with that before, that is the closest to cpanel, open source, free

If you don't know how to do that, request an refund and buy managed vps...
You've tutorials on Youtube how to Install php+mysql+etc on CentOS, Ubuntu... But for newbies is a NO go. :)
 
yes I wanted hosting from them and live supoort say me this is ( SSD VDS/VPS Server) good for you and i bought it :s

cuz i know connecting ftp upload wordpress files and setup wordpress and theme and plugins + + + its easy for me but I don't have the faintest knowledge but I learn fast

What's the host provider?
It's a quite difficult job for who don't understand. You need to connect to the server via Putty per example and install everything (PHP-Mysql)
Like I said, its better request a refund and buy a managed VPS or a shared hosting! :)
 
OP, for future reference - I would recommend using DigitalOcean.

Their docs are FUCKING AMAZING if you're new to everything, you don't ever need to contact their support and it's so easy. When I first got into it, I started out with them and creating sites using wp inc. setting up dns and nameservers etc is insanely easy.

Cheap too bro. Check it out next time, save yourself some time and hassle.

either spend some time learning on how to manage a server or pay someone to do it for you.

depends on your budget and time
 
Why don't you get a managed VPS?

Unless you value your time at $0.50/hour

connected to live support before purchasing and asking " i need offshore hosting for adult movies web site " and they are say me u must buy vps server. this is better for you.
and now:

1. step : I ran the server as in the image above
2. step : i give hosting to myself :D
3. step : im update wordpress files
4. step : and i am check now video templates

I did it all by reading and watching.

2. You need to setup all your details in that screenshot (Login, System Operative can be Centos / Ubuntu) just keep in mind, commands will be different of Centos to Ubuntu
Some Panels don't work in Centos, other work. Depends of the panel.

I can suggest you to use VestaCP or AAPanel... Check in youtube tutorials.

3. Disk layout is if you want RAID 0, RAID1 etc

4. Once it finish, just install or use Putty (you need to connect with SSH and that is how putty helps), use your IP of your Hosting Provider, AlexHost then connect and put your root (username you insered in screenshot) and password.

5. Once you connected you are in your VPS Terminal, you should install a Panel to help you.

Keep in mind, VPS you will need a little knowledge...

Guys, we need to understand some VPS are unmanaged, managed VPS is not so cheap. And is different, you need understand that Managed VPS is good, for who have lack of knowledge about VPS and Linux.

I watched youtube videos and read many articles. I had no information about the vds/vps. but now my system works fine. AlexaHost installs everything automatically and i use VestaCP.

I had no information and I wrote a few times to ticket support. all is fine now. cuz, Everything in your system is automatic. chose disk chos panel chose password its oke gratzz your vps server working. dont need putty or other software alexa have vps console. thanks so much. I made a good choice
