VPS and Web hosting

Hey guys everyone here has been very helpful and the community of people are outstanding. I have been learning alot and I am ready to start my first website. I have never made a REAL website used to make money before. So servers, hosting, and cpannel are foreign to me.
First I wanted to know If I should go straight to VPS or just used a shared server since im just starting. I wanted to get a VPS but I am slightly confused, when reading reviews from some BHW members over in hosting, it just seems like they are affiliates or making money of it some how. Not saying they are just the reviews seem rehearsed. Are there vps that offer more benefits like SEO tools?

What do you use personally for a VPS or server?
Does it really matter where I buy by domain? Lets say If I buy my domain for GoDaddy (not going to) do I have to use it on there servers or can I buy the name there and host the website though hostgator?

The answer for the last question is, yes. You can buy from any domain name service and then host somewhere else, it doesn't matter where.

Regarding to your VPS question. What are you going to use it for? Many people use VPS for running numerious programs that would take a huge piece of your RAM if you'd decide to run on your own PC etc.

Sure you can register domain and tie it to your site hosted anywhere. All you will need to do is to register and specify your own nameservers in registrar control panel. It's quite easy.

As for VPS, many people use it to free their home PCs from running 24/7. I mean Windows VPS.
Limux VPS is great for hosting sites. IMHO.

If you start with your first website, I recommend a shared hosting with CPanel and an Autoinstaller.
You will use this last one to install and setup a CMS like Wordpress very quickly and simply.
You can upgrade that account later.

Thanks guys, I was planning on making a website to sell [rpducts (not affliate products) Products I made. I heard shared servers are pretty slow so that does not look to good to customers. I also want to use seo tools, I run my computer 24/7 anyway so I wouldnt mind if it takes up alot of ram. I could always buy my also. I just want to be able rank and sell from this site. Also what do you guys use for
VPS?
Shared Server?
SEO tools?
Is there a all in one package?

Look at hosting service from a2hosting and obhosting companies.
It seems to me they are able to meet all your needs.
Contact their support, they are active.

I too recommend you to for shared hosting at first...

If everything goes good you can invest more...
