I have been using it for seo for some time.....to hide my ip
but today I found out.....I logged in into facebook via different ip via my VPS and facebook recognized me....and I used cccleaner etc to clean cookies....
I thought I was protected....so it is worse than using tor, you are widely open to all public.....if you are for example whistleblower.....you will not be able to hide your identity.......
I really dont understand what happened....how did facebook still remember me.....for some reason...

Yes you're right, this means you were not properly protected. You should use residential IP solutions rather than these VPN providers that may have leaks.
 
and they claim OHH your data is safe you are perfectly safe......so how could the stupid facebook recognize me....is there a way to be anonimous in any way?

I think that's not about VPN, it's probably because of your actions on fb. If you tried to spam your link then you can expect same results no matter which IP you use. You probably need better strategy, facebook is hard nowdays for spaming. Also if your account is new that might be one of reasons, try to get older account at least 1 year old.

It's not a probability, but a certainty that OP effed something up, which has nothing to do with the VPN service.

OP, look up browser footprinting, WebRTC leakage etc. and stop accusing VPN service provicers because of your poor knowledge. It's not 2010 anymore when changing your ip and using CCleaner was enough to trick sites.

Use browser addons to prevent the above or you can also use Multiloginapp, which has these built-in.

This is one thing, the other one is that these commercial VPN solutions provide shared, datacenter ips, abused by many others. Most of those ips are already blacklisted on most sites. As someone suggested above, you should use residential proxies instead.

No, you can't. The purpose of proxies - residential included - is different than the purpose of VPNs normally. For most IM tasks proxies are better, exactly because you don't need encryption functionality.

It's not that they're better... It's just that VPN is overkill. Socks 5 is the best as far as proxy.. But it is the same as a VPN in terms of privacy.

VPN isn't just overkill, but it is not practical for most tasks (such as OP's), because unless you use it as a browser addon, it encrypts the whole traffic, which is often not needed. You may end up forgetting to turn it on or off when needed. It's a lot easier to a tie a proxy to an account, so you can't make any mistakes when logging in. Multiloginapp can help you in this regard a lot, when you operate multiple social media profiles and you want to do it manually using a browser. On top of that commercial VPN ips are shared, abused to hell, they are not good for most IM tasks, hence the low price tag (e.g. CyberGhost VPN costs $12/month and offers 1,300 servers/ips). One datacenter dedicated proxy cost ~$1/month (can be cheaper if you buy in bulk), dedicated VPNs cost 3-4 times what proxies cost. If you want the same level of ip address health from a VPN what a proxy can provide, you need to pay 3-4 times more, which is not cost-effective. Unless you need the encryption functionality of VPNs, proxies have the upper hand in IM pretty much always.

Try EpicBrowser, it will block trackers too..
 
Im pretty sure WebRTC is to blame for that...
Also to consider is: canvas fingerprinting, system time, locale, screen size, os version, browser version yadda yadda.
