I've been doing SEO for a number of years for a lot of websites but I've got a problem that I've never seen before and I'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direction.

I started SEO work for a client who built a new e-commerce site on the Volusion platform. After two months of work, not one single keyword ranks in the top 1000 in Google, Yahoo! or Bing.

Here's the problem. In doing a Google search for the actual site, it shows it as https://www.xxx.com and the site title in Google shows the website name as opposed to keywords.

Is anybody familiar with Volusion and has anybody experienced this problem and know the way around it?

Thanks,

Chuck

Volusion runs on Windows and they do not allow core files to be modified. Contact their support for assistance in doing a redirect. I find it hard to believe they still have not corrected this problem after so many years, especially since they have their own seo department. If nothing else https should serve a separate robots.txt file preventing indexing of any https pages. Good luck
