Voice over?

Hi guys, just wondering how to do a voice over without a mic? I have a laptop that used to have a webcam but it is all busted up, I do have a smart phone and wondering if that can be used as a mic?

My mission- make a tutorial with camtasia with my voice going over it.

You could buy an external microphone or webcam to record audio. If you are trying to do this by spending nothing and all you have is the smart phone, that would certainly work but the quality would be very poor. If you have an iPhone, just use voice memos then import that to camtasia from wherever it is stored on your machine.

Or go to fiver and get a "professional" voice over for $5 and then import it to camtasia.

To use external mic or headphone is the best option to record clear voice. However if you are trying to use your mobile for this purpose then it is very necessary to install PC suit of that mobile brand in your computer. Not sure but I think this is the best way to connect cell phone with computer for using its accessories.

You can try and cheap out but to get real get a good USB mike like the Yeti to use with Camtasia.
