Hey guys! I'm having a problem with a specific video and some others that are struggling to get views.

I'll tell you my story. The channel is a little over a year old, 2024. At first, I started with shorts. I made about 20-30 automated shorts, the kind you can make with Canva and its app with Excel. It didn't work; the videos were bad, so I left it there.

After several months, I'm now starting to get the channel back on track, a month ago to be exact. I've made about three long videos and some shorts, but this time, quality ones, manually. The problem is that only the shorts have generated natural views up to 500 views; it doesn't go any further.

The long videos generate 1 to 2 views. Other long videos generate 8-10 views per day. But there's one video that after two weeks has no views, ZERO. I'm worried about this video and want to know why it's not generating views. YouTube is supposed to recommend it at least, but nothing.

The video is in YouTube search results at position 35 and is indexed on Google. ALL videos have SEO-optimized titles and descriptions. The tag box is full, but it's not spam. I found several keywords in Google AdWords and YouTube suggestions. I put all of those in that tag box.

P.S.: I set the automated shorts videos to private and hidden. Only new videos are visible.

I have real subscribers that I gained with the shorts and some longer videos, but they are few and far between.

What do you think?

That is a problem many people face, according to what you said it appears your account is shadow banned which can be quite problamatic. If you do not yet have a decent amount of audience i would suggest start from a new account, And make sure you post at a specific time of a day , and consistently , like if you are posting everyday 11 am , make sure you don't skip a day. And if you have alot of videos don't bulk post, Post at a proper schedule...
I wish you good luck on your journey...

I thought the same thing about being shadowbanned. But the video does appear when I search with the keyword, it's just at the bottom.

Is there another option to give this channel a second chance before creating a new one?

I think the problem with account is that you took alot of break and being unconsistent with postings, you can try posting at regular timing for 15-20 days , and if you see some improvements then keep at it but you might not see improvements i suggest you start a second channel and post consistently on both (Just in case the first one fails)

If you are long term player, i would suggest when you stop getting views , buy some views from smm pannels to keep the algorithm in your favour and make youtube feel that there is demand and interaction in your channel ( buy occasionall)

Okay, thanks, I'll analyze it.

Other than the fact that it might be shadow banned the issue here is that your channel is adapted to shorts videos, there is a views threshold for all channels, and right now majority of your views are going to go to shorts videos since you started uploading shorts videos first , now you can do 2 things, that is 1 you can stop shorts uploads for a while and keep being consistent with long form videos uploads, 2 weeks is not enough to determine shadow ban, you need to experiment for a month minimum, although we suggest 2 months,
Now 2nd choice is if you don't want to go through the headache of experimenting , then delete the long form videos from this channel and start a fresh new channel and start uploading these long form videos and see how ot performs , mostly it will get better views than your current channel.

Thanks! I've been thinking about it and decided to delete the channel and create a new one. I'm already uploading videos, and the views are still low. I'll see how I can make some short films or videos go viral.

Have you thought of buying views from a reliable SMM panel? That will help.
Yes, I plan to look into that topic later, as I’m currently focusing more on another channel

How many short and long videos do you upload per day? Is retention and CTR good on your channel?

Hi, there are 3 long videos in total and I haven't uploaded the short ones yet. It's only been a few weeks since I posted them.

Did you upload all three videos on the same day? Have you checked if they have any impressions yet?

What I've noticed is that YouTube doesn't usually promote the videos when uploading multiple videos at once, and I even suggest not mixing short videos with long videos on the same channel.

When a channel gets a lot of subs for short videos, it usually affects the long videos.

I made one long video per week. They don’t have many views yet each one has only gotten around 1 to 5 views in total so far.

Hey! well considering the average you have, it doesn’t make much sense that some of your videos have 0 views, it seems more like the famous yt shadowban some creators talk about. Can I ask if your channel is in a niche that’s not very well accepted?

Personally, I’d recommend checking your tags, description, and titles to make sure they follow the rules. You might also want to try boosting your channel with paid views. Do u know the site sproutgigs? that site offers these little mini-jobs with real traffic, if you go for something like that, I think it could help boost your channel's engagement especially if that's what's messing with yt recommendations

did you try to make goole ads for it and after see if will be ranked or not?

It's an informative niche with a touch of humor. I've done all the SEO as best as I could, with the help of ChatGPT. And yes, one of the things I plan to do is send high-retention visits. I hope to find a really good and affordable site to buy them from.

The issue with buying visits is that most of them have no retention time, which could negatively impact the channel. So I’m going to look for a site that offers high-retention views

Is the caption catchy enough? Is the first 5-10 seconds entertaining enough? Hows the thumbnail? Make subtle changes like these
