Video games gameplay No Commentary

Can I record games gameplays without any commentary and showing faces and still get monetized and earn? What do you think? Thanks.

 

Yep, you can. Will people stick around? Depends on how good you are. Even then, you still need some sort of personality (imo).

 

nope u cannot. check on googles website.

they clearly mention commentary has to be strictly tied to the action on screen. anyone can show their face. channels like the type u described that earn money are grand fathered channels.

I am sure somewhere I read before that you can do that, but you cannot use any cutscenes or copyright music in the video in order to be monetized.

 

Got any links for that? Even if that is a rule I don't think it's really enforced.

@op I've seen benchmarks doing quite well. As in, hp omen 2019 fps test. Someone could also fake these... Good luck.

 

it won't necessarily be enforced but there are a lot of low effort gaming channels trying to scam youtube so hence during monetization review they get rejected

Fair point. I might have missed the "monetization" part there.

 

I have a gaming youtube channel and get away with murder on it. but i might be grandfathered, had it for eons.
