Video editing software

I've done a lot of video editing / titles before and for the title intros, Adobe After Effects beats every other tool hands down.

You can easily design a nice sales video with AE, after downloading a simple template for under $50. And the output is very professional.

If I then wanted to add other videos after my title, I would advice you go with Adobe Premiere. Both great tools.

I've been using power director, sounds like I should try vegas though

Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premier Pro. If you need something more basic you can use Camtasia Editor... or something like that. But if you want something professional Adobe sofware will be your best choice...

After effects is the end all/be all for video editing in my books. Especially with 3rd party addons like particular, nothing comes close. You could remake the whole starwars trilogy if you had enough time and experience.

Although, some people misplace the need for 3d modeling if you are really hardcore. If you can import 3d models from 3dmax and related CAD programs, you can truly make ANYTHING.

After Effects + Sony Vegas In my vote. I made a really amazing video, with a crappy webcam. I edited the heck out of that thing with after effects, and gave it a filter to look like a movie, then rendered it. And Edited it with sony vegas, as well as a couple of blurs on there. And wala!! A masterpiece. Gee, I really want you guys to see it.

i find comfort using openshot. there are lots of tuts in youtube about this however this is only for linux users. :D

After Effects allows you to do more than Sony Vegas or Pinnacle Studio but I still prefer to do basic editing with Vegas and then import the file into AE to spice things up here and there. As far as Sony vs Pinnacle, Studio has some great motion title packs but Vegas gives you a lot more options and in my experience crashes a lot less.

Adobe Premiere and After Effects. If I need something hardcore I will use Nuke

For me, once you get the hang of Vegas, it can give you everything you need. I use aftereffects on occasion, but with the new rendering engine on Vegas, it's hard to beat, plus extremely fast on rendering (this assumes you have a good graphics card).

I have after effects...but if I'm in a rush, I use Videopad. It's free and stupid easy to use, so perfect for those new to video editing who want to get their feet wet before dropping the dollars.

AE, Sony Vegas & Pinnacle are really good :-)

Adobe AE is the best. I have been using it for 3 years now and its the best.

I'm a noob to video creation and editing. But have to learn it now for a project, and I need to anyway.

What is the difference between Premiere and After Effects?

Which program would you recommend to complete noob?

I know about some non-linear softwares..... Avidemux, Avisynth, Blender VSE, Lumiera.... these works goodfor effect adobe is the best....
